‘Male education’ is one of the most urgent, radical contemporary challenges if we recognize that many of the problems of the world we live in – from gender violence, to crime, to war, to the devastation of nature, to the birth crisis – are somehow connected to an encumbered hegemony of pathological, (self-)destructive models of virility and the slow, laborious formulation, in people’s conciousness and in social practice, of alternative, more ecological and non-violent models of masculinity.
