Authors

The authors attempt to reread the Ferenctian idea of pre-treatment in the light of the concept of hypercycling. This operation allows to shift the focus of the therapeutic intervention to the first moments of the encounter with the patient; in some situations these moments can be particularly delicate because of the character psychopathologies that are often translated into action in a rapid and non-negotiable way. The authors believe that, in these phases, defusing those clinical traps (here defined as orphic-hypercyclic) is necessary in order to guarantee the development, if not the beginning, of a psychoanalytic path.
