On May 9, George Atwood came to Rome, where he presented the Italian translation of his latest book, The Abyss of Madness, at John Cabot University. Together with Robert Stolorow and, later, Bernhard Brandchaft and Donna Orange, he created that psychoanalytic current that generally goes under the name of Inter-subjective Psychoanalysis, although, personally, Atwood prefers to define the approach of his own thought as "phenomenological contextualism".
