Objective: To collect in a unique database the personal, clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic and pharmacological data of inpatients with COVID-19 admitted to the Alessandria Hospital. Methodology: It has been created a database using the freely available Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) platform. Data of hospitalized patients was gathered through electronic medical records system (TrackCare) and paper based medical records. Manual data entry has been performed. Results: The database allows users to create, save and export customized data reports for statistical analyses. Conclusion: The collection of different features of inpatients with COVID-19 in a unique database has significant influence on research. Using the database the researchers could systematically look for certain features of hospitalized patients, develop epidemiological observational studies and perform correlation analyses.
