Aims/Methodology: We present the story of a patient who was 47 years old at the time of the onset of the disease, with a histological diagnosis of giant cell tumour of the bone (distal radius) and with evidence of pulmonary parenchymal lesions. The patient's clinical situation was such that amputation of the affected limb was considered. Instead, the patient underwent surgical resection with removal of the distal radius, reconstruction and, after tumour recurrence, prolonged treatment with denosumab (a total of 44 administrations, still in progress). Results/Conclusions: Treatment of the recurrence with denosumab resulted in an excellent disease response with clinical benefit, remarkable functional recovery, and with disease stability at the level of the lung lesions.
