Vladislav E Sobolev graduated from the Veterinary Faculty of the State Agricultural Academy - Orel, Russia (1997). A veterinarian of the State Veterinary Surveillance Service in Bryansk, Russia (1997-2004). Associate Professor of Internal Medicine Department of St. Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary Medicine (2004-2011), then senior and leading researcher of the Laboratory of Comparative Enzyme Biochemistry Research Institute of the IEPhB RAS, St. Petersburg, Russia. Full member of the St. Petersburg Veterinary Society, member of the editorial board of the journal "Laboratory Animals for Scientific Research". His main scientific interests were studying pathophysiological mechanisms of inflammatory processes in urinary bladder of different etiology, biological functions of sulfated glycosaminoglycans in pathology, etiology and therapy of urinary incontinence in caged fur-bearing animals, and possibilities of using nutraceuticals and products of bee activity in veterinary medicine. Light microscopy histological methods, immunohistochemical methods, as well as electron microscopy, clinical biochemistry methods, immunological methods, and analytical chemistry methods were used to conduct research. In the last few years, he has been working on the molecular mechanisms of acute and chronic nephrotoxicity of organophosphate pesticides.
